Led by artist-technologist co-founders composer Evelyn Ficarra and media artist Ian Winters, Heliotrope IA is dedicated to bringing to life new tools and technology for art, experience and music through the development of artist friendly technology for the music, video, and performance.

Founded in 2025, Heliotrope is grounded in the principles of practice led research process to innovate, bringing to commercial availability innovative new tools developed originally for artistic production and research.

As artists and makers ourselves we believe that arts and culture productions are key test bed for cutting edge technology research and development, and serve as a launch pad for artists and culture makers to extend the possible.

Coming in late 2025 our initial set of tool-kits include:

• our Model 1 multi-spectral light and sound instrument that will give real time performers a portable interactive multi-spectral sound and color environment, based on technology developed by our co-founder Ian Winters for the Domestic Light project
• Our Model 2 release is anticipated to be our OSC to ROS2 interface and controller to allow control of ROS2 and Bluetooth based robots from an OSC control panel.
